Does anyone else feel awkward when...

@Joynjoyness23 Ouch, sorry about that.

@amh1280: I would die. I’d probably just leave school in the middle of the day to save myself from the excess praise and awkwardness.

Lol the first thing she did was take a picture of her acceptance letter and make it her facebook profile pic… She was the second person from my school to be accepted to harvard so I guess she was really proud of herself. And my school has been around for 80 yrs

I’ve always been extremely uncomfortable with praise. I also try to refrain from telling people that are close to me my scores and such because scores that aren’t good enough for me, they would love to have. :confused: And I would feel awful if they think I’m trying to downplay their efforts. Because I’m at the top of my class, people expect me to go to an Ivy League school, but that’s just not for me, plus I’m 99% sure I wouldn’t get in anyways. I didn’t even apply to any Ivy League schools.
Except there is this one guy that always, always, asks me what I get on the SAT/ACT, tests, quizzes, homework, you name it. And you can totally tell he’s just asking so he can rub it in my face whenever he beats me. He’s the one person I feel comfortable with just straight up bragging to, because he’s a jerk. 8D

I love me some praise. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t gloat to random people or anything, but all of my friends are total 1-uppers (so am I) so I like to hold the things I have superior to them right in their face. Everything is much less awkward if you’re competitive. It does get somewhat tedious with family/adults though.
