You know, in threads, do you feel guilty when you see that you're the last person who posted? I feel bad if the thread dies and I was the last poster in that thread, because I'll feel like the threadkiller.

lol, there was already a really long thread on this. I think they even used the word threadkiller too

No. If the thread died, then it died. Not my fault.

^ You almost killed this one, you know.

i feel even more guilty when i post a thread to which no one replies :p.

at least if i am the last poster on a sizable thread i can rationalize that it ran its course and it wasn’t anything i said that doomed it. but i guess there is the aspect of being responsible for ending the thread for everyone else, which is not there in the case of creating a thread which goes nowhere.

Hey, it’s not my fault that no one wants to talk.

The threads that no one replies to are usually the ones with extremely narrow subject topics, like the particularly short-lived one about making your own prom dress.

@Tizil7 If it were to have died, it would not be my fault for HAPPENING to be the last person to post but yours because you were not the next person to post.

New challenge: see who can be NOT the last poster on this thread :P

Challenge accepted.

Wait, why is there a new thread?

We’re conducting on an experiment to see how closely the two different threads will parallel each other- to see when this thread will run its course, and how people feel about posting on a newer thread as opposed to an older one.

Well, one thing’s for sure. This being a new thread will encourage more discussion among current members. More so, because people wouldn’t be bothered to read through the massive number of previous posts on the other thread.

benfester, if that’s the case, I’ll give a secret prize to the 10001th poster, if you know what I mean ;)

Threads die because nobody has any thing to say ,or the topic doesn’t spark a desire to respond . I don’t think "guilt " is the right feeling -perhaps embarrassment is closer to what you mean !

i think it can be either. if you feel you ruined the thread for everyone else because your post stopped it, then it’s guilt. if you feel no one responded because your post was deficient it’s closer to embarrassment.

I was sort of kidding, but ok haha. And by 10001th, do you mean 17th? ;)

Yes, I believe they DO mean the 17th poster. Heheheh

haha @ Fascintaion you mean my thread?? I feel even worse when I make a thread that nobody replies too, like I’m just writing about something stupid :/
