I couldn’t even figure out what majors/minors were offered! I almost eliminated Brown because I thought they didn’t offer Chinese according to an outside website. I FINALLY just googled Brown “East Asian Studies” and found it!

Meh… just a thread to rant about how annoying the website is/ have anyone who actually knows how to use the website teach us!

Sorry you had such a rough time. Are you sure you tried hard enough and didn’t rush? In any case…

Click on “Undergraduate” link

Click on “The Brown Education” tab

Click on “Departments and Concentrations” link

Click on “Concentrations (majors)” link

BINGO!

LOL. Yeah, the first time the “new website” was introduced was back in 2007 or 2008. I remember talking to my English professor about it.

First of all, Brown doesn’t have “majors” - we have “concentrations.” If you go to the “academic life” portion and click on the departments, you should get an A-Z listing. Now at this point you should just find the department you are looking for and see if they have a concentration. If not, you can click on the letter “C” and scroll down for concentration you should be able to get this site (although it might be outdated) http://www.brown.edu/Administration/Registrar/concentration.html

You guys might be technologically challenged, which is okay, really. loool I was just kidding.

At first, I found the site to be somewhat difficult to navigate through, but I then managed to get the hold of it. After all, practice makes perfect. lol.

At least most of the websites have the general idea of
Academics -> Undergraduate (or College of ___ , etc…) -> Departments and Programs -> Majors/Minors
but Brown is different :(
