Maybe it's just me, but everyday by the time I get to class I'm pretty sweaty T-T It's not even that hot at UCLA, but just walking through the hills and stairs in the sun is just HOT. And no, I do not wear a parka or a sweater or anything. I always wear a plain t shirt and a pair of jeans. I'm also not fat or obese or anything like that either.

I think I walk normally the same speed as anyone else, though I'm pretty sure if I walked exceptionally slow I probably wouldn't sweat as much. I also always carry my laptop in my backpack and a bottle of water so my backpack isn't all that heavy. Is it just me, or is UCLA just very hot after walking up and down hills and stairs? =

i get sweaty too =P it sucks when you have to sit down in those really close-together seats in dodd lecture halls… haha i try to always bring a cold water bottle with me to cool down faster once i get to class, but it’s embarrassing, lol.

One thing you guys can do is carry a small bag with salt. After walking about 200 meters, make sure nobody is looking and sprinkle some salt on the center of your head and take a small hop forward. I know it sounds funny but many students at UCLA are starting to do it. I believe UCLA is currently doing some research on this. I hope this helps

I think it’s the whole heavy backpack thing that’s the problem…at least sometimes for me. Every once and a while I’ll lift up my the straps on my backpack and walk a bit like that just to get some cool air…blegh
