.... That they will be rejected from every single college they apply to?
I do.
I'm so frightened, and the thing is, for me it very well could happen.
I've already been accepted to the CSU's but I don't really wanna go there...Gosh, I'm just so scared of thin, business-sized rejection envelopes.....

No, it couldn't happen to you. You just said you were admitted to CSU's , so the fear is in fact, irrational.

yea...ill get rejected from all of my 14 schools...i have that feeling everyday.

yeah, but it's not irrational. ::dies::.

My CSU acceptances dont' count.
Imagine how DAMN crappy it would be to get 14 rejection letters! omg..... i wanna curl up in a ball and never go outside again just thinking about it lol

yeah I read that thread and was absolutely horrified. I am now convinced I am not going to get into anywhere. McDonalds, here I come!

Then why apply to them? You've been registered on this board for 1.5 years so by now I hope you've read advice that says your safety is an IMPORTANT choice. I don't want to seem like I'm jumping on you now because there's little you can do about where you've applied, but there are a whole range of CSU schools from urban commuter campuses to ones in smaller areas with quite a residential feeling (Chico, SLO, etc). Not one is right for you?

Also keep in mind that outside of the top 100 or so most in demand, the rest accept the majority of their applicants! Take a look at http://media.wiley.com/product_data/excerpt/78/07879796/0787979678.pdf
It is quite possible with a little work to find colleges that are a great fit and you really want to attend, and that are at least likely (if not certain) to accept you.

I think i said that a little harshly. There's 2 that I'd definitely be cool with going to. It's more my pride that's a hinderance. All my friends at school are real top notch kids and some have already been accepted ea/ed to really amazing schools, my saying that i'll be going to some CSU next semester will be so looked down upon.

tsdad, thank you for the thread, that's frightening....
