Does anyone get excited at receiving a private message?

<p>PMs make me feel special, almost like I’m a welcome person on this website (and not a persona non grata as I sometimes seem to be on these threads).</p>

<p>But then again, I am heavily into penpalling, so I already have a proclivity to write absurdly long letters and wait in agonized anticipation of a response. :)</p>

<p>@FallenAngel9: They’re quite delightful. Just find someone to strike up a random correspondence with; I have several long-running ones going on at the moment. They give me something to look forward to at night. ;)</p>

<p>Depending on whom they’re from. I get excited when I know the person, not so excited if it’s some random poster that I’ve never seen before.</p>
