Does anyone go to a school that pays for their exams?

my school district picks up the tab for all ap tests for classes that you take, but you HAVE to take the test. If you don't take the test, you lose the AP designation on your transcript.

however, if you are taking a test for a class that isn't offered and you aren't doing some kind of independent study, you have to pay for the exam. i took eng lang this year (my school only does eng lit) and they made me pay the 82.00. however, i'm IS'ing latin: vergil next year and they are buying me the text and paying for the exam.

My school pays for the exam if you take the class. I think all of Minnesota does it, but I'm not sure.

My school pays for all the exams for all students that take the class. They even provide breakfast for all students in the morning, and snacks/bottled water for the breaks. But i guess since we go to a pretty terrible public school, there aren't very many students that actually take AP classes.

It's pretty ridiculous, we are actually the first graduating class, class of '06 that has to pay for all of their tests, so when I signed up for five tests last year and found out this year about paying for everything I was less than amused. Hey, at least my chem test from last year was free especially since we had no teacher since one of his labs went crazy and burned a student.

I had to pay $82/exam, and about 99.99% of the students who sign up for AP exams (whether you've taken the class or not) must do the same at my school.. I live in a "wealthy area" of Ohio. You can get reduced fees (down to like 50? something) if you receive a reduced lunch (...odd qualification, only about 00.01% of students do..), but other than that, the school evidently believes 82$ is chump change. I wish I went to a school that covered the charges, at least partly..

Yeppers. We only pay $20 (regardless of how many exams we take).

free, thanks to florida dept of education, but the school districts forcing people to take the test if you take the class and if you don't you have too pay 80 bucks. which kinda sucks but they're just trying to move up on the h.s. ranking list.

we pay full price for all ap exams here in cleveland, oh.

free unless you self study or fail

Wait, you pay after the fact? b/c that would be pretty harsh, u know as in, oh I know you feel horrible that you just failed the test, now hand over $82. 8P

we have to pay $52
