Also, I would strongly discourage sending a math I score with your math II score, no need to blemish an 800 and cause them to question it. Also, a math I score doesn’t give them any new information :P

Math I, to be honest, really is not worth taking given the severity of the curve and the fact that many colleges value Math II to a far greater extent.

For people who have taken trig and know the subject matter in the Math II test, I think that Math II scores tend to be higher because the curve is much better. I took some practice tests last year in math class, and I scored higher in Math II than Math I.

Eh… Don’t you think that if you, say, had 800 on both, colleges would prefer you more? The reason I say this is that an 800 on Math I is in the 99+ percentile, and would do nothing but completely confirm your 800 on Math II, which has an easy curve, thus leaving some doubt.

Math II is much easier. As people said above, the curve is much more forgiving. I think to get an 800 you can get up to 7 wrong. Math I is much more like the SAT I math section than anything else.

Send in your Math II sat score. Sure, Math II may have higher scores, but a 780/790 is good regardless. And…I know some colleges require math II for any science/engineering related discipline.
