Does anyone have any actual first hand experience in gaining residency status?

<p>No personal experience, but here’s a suggestion. You’ve probably already done this, but be sure to tell your D to check around among her friends and friends of friends. My S seemed to know quite a bit about this process during freshman-sophomore year, just because he knew people who were trying to do it.</p>

<p>Get a job! Make $2,000 of taxable income. Change your driver’s license and voting registration to Missouri. Get your name on a lease. My close friend gained residency over the summer.</p>
