I decided to go to uw because it’s close to home and affordable, but it is the only school I applied to where I didn’t get direct admit into the Business major. It’s stressing me out. I just finished my first quarter with a 3.7 and am wondering if anyone has any advice on being accepted into Foster or any experience regarding the situation, any stories?
All I can do is stress about it and worry that my gpa is already slipping, that my internship isn’t good enough, etc. It’s my dream to be accepted to Foster and if anyone has any advice or guidance that would be great even average gpas and acceptance stats would help I think.
I assume you’ve read the website already? The acceptance rate is 30-50 percent.

Talk to academic advising at UW. Really they are there to help. Make a list of all the difficult prerequisite classes you need to take to apply to the major and plan to spread them out so that you are not taking them all at once. If a class is tough, be a regular at office hours and help sessions.
A 3.7 your first term is not bad at all. It’s hard to make the transition to college so don’t beat yourself up. Just assess where you need to improve and keep working hard.
