Does anyone have tips for AP Micro/Macro Econ?

My first grading period just ended and I got an 89% (a B at my school) . I really want to get an A in the class(95% at my school), but I don't feel as though my teacher is the best, but still there are a couple people in each AP Econ period that have A's or A-'s. I ask them how they got their high grade, and most say they really don't know what they're doing. So nobody at my school can help. ): I watch the ACDC leadership videos on YouTube, but they are usually way easier than what we learn in class so they're not that useful. I'm in the second grading period now, and so far I'm fighting an uphill battle to get just the B! My book doesn't explain things well either. I have orders 5 steps to a 5, and I should be getting it in the next week. I don't think that will help me so much for the class though.

So can someone please help me get the A! Tell me what you did and your strategies and what not please. I'm sure somebody on CC can help me! You guys are the smartest people ever!

Please and thank you (:

1) Study more. The amount of study time you’re putting in now is enough to get a B. You need more to get an A. Simple.
2) Ask questions. If you don’t understand something, ask your teacher.
3) Get help outside of school. KhanAcademy has great videos, for free, on econ.

Doing all notes and vocabulary for a test the day before. It’s as fresh as it can get :P

Book is really important…
For me, I never listen in class, but I go through the book by myself the night before and take notes. AND English is my second language. So I think you can do a better job on reading than I do. If you think your book doesn’t explain it well, just find a powerpoint that summarize all the key points online. It may help too. Also, it really depends on teachers!
You need to find out what kind of problems you teacher likes to give in a test. It is more like definition, or apply to an example? AND find the similar type of questions online or in prep book to practice it.
But most important thing is to know the material thoroughly.
