Does anyone here know about agriculture & applied economics...

I was thinking of doing this major since I heard it was flexible and you could be working any job, but is that a good idea or a good way to lead a bum life? Haha. I was thinking of doing this and putting in a few econ and stats and IS classes for electives. And if I could I would do a masters. What kind of companies hires these guys? And is there any job openings in S.F. you think? And what's the difference between A&AE and Economics? Is one applied and the other one theory?

Agribusiness like cargill and firms trading futures.

Hm, this is it hm? I looked up jobs for cargill and they are a little aways from S.F. Also most of the jobs seem to go to SCM and IT and accounting. I wonder if you don't have a major like economics or if you don't fully specialize in a business area if you'll get a job? I keep hearing oh, there will be plenty of jobs, but they seem to look for these specialized jobs I mentioned. I wonder if I'll get by. At any rate, I just want to get my degree, earn a decent living on my own, I have no extravagant goals guys. Thanks Barrons. What should I type in google to find specific firms trading futures?
