Does anyone here play fantasy baseball?

if we cant get enough people for a 12 person league, we could just do a 10 man league.

bump (10 char)

I'll throw my hat in the ring.

10) Golden Bear

Should we just play w/10 people in the league or wait until we have the full 12?

just private message us with the info

all i see in the pm is a "I".

Yeah what's with the "I" PMs

Something went wrong w/the PMs. I sent new ones that should have everything.

its the same message.

Something's not going right with the PM. When I sent it, it looked just fine. For some reason, the message is getting truncated.

Below is most of the message that I sent. The only thing that's not in this post is the league name and password (for obvious reasons).

Here are the amount of players at each position that we’ll use:

Catcher (C) 1
First Base (1B) 1
Second Base (2B) 1
Third Base (3B) 1
Shortstop (SS) 1
Outfield (OF) 3
All Batters (Util) 1
Starters (SP) 2
Relievers (RP) 2
All Pitchers (P) 3
Disabled List (DL) 1
Bench (BN) 5

Here are the stats that will be scored:

[hitting]
Runs
Home Runs
RBI
Stolen Bases
Batting Average

[pitching]
Wins
Saves
Strikeouts
Earned Run Average
(Walks + Hits)/ Innings Pitched

I just need to know which of these league formats would be better:

Rotisserie Style - Fantasy teams are ranked from first to last in each of several statistical categories. Points are awarded according to these rankings, with the most points in each category going to the highest-ranked team. These points are then totaled to determine the overall standings. The team highest in the standings at the end of the season is declared the winner.

Head-to-Head - Each week, you square off against another manager. Each stat category counts as one 'game,' with the win going to the team that finishes the week with the highest total in that category. This weekly win-loss total will be added to a cumulative season record. Teams with the best records will compete in playoffs after the regular season.

I also need your opinion on which draft method would be the best:

Autopick Draft - Draft based Yahoo default rankings or a manager's pre-ranking of players. Once draft status is set to Ready, the results will be posted by the following day.

Offline Draft - Results are entered via the Offline Draft Results entry tool in the Commissioner's Tools section of the game.

Personally, I don’t want to do the live online draft method because that takes a lot of time. Also, it said on Yahoo that AOL users and people with firewall might not be able to do it. I have both, so it could be hard for me. Besides that, it doesn’t matter what settings you choose.

Just PM what you think about the league format (rotisserie vs. head-to-head) and the draft method (auto vs. offline).

i like rotisserie and live draft.

rotisserie 2
head-to-head 0

live online draft 1
offline draft 0
autopcik draft 1

My vote is for rotisserie & autopick.

rotisserie 3
head-to-head 0

live online draft 2
offline draft 0
autopcik draft 1

i need the league name and pass plz

I'll PM it to you once I have everyone's opinion on what the league format should be.

i'll play if you still want people...

I guess one more wouldn't hurt:

1.) Hepstar
2.) nathanTX07
3.) dumbstruck1089
4.) panic
5.) wutsupdoc
6.) willmingtonwave
7.) War Chant
8.) bman14
9.) MrxPenguin
10) Golden Bear
11.) norsvkng07

we can have an odd number with rotisserie but not with head to head. another reason to go rotisserie.

^That's true
