I'm curious about how many internationals did Caltech admit and what kind of people are they?

I got rejected as an international student =/

Same here, rejected international student

I'm pretty sure the admit rate for internationals is extremely low compared to that for domestic applicants. You need to be amazing to be admitted out of the US.

Admitted international student. (Yay!)

As for amazing... while it is nice to hear, I hardly consider myself exceptional. I mean, I'll humbly admit to being a top student, though I'm no prodigy or anything. Maybe I'm just underestimating myself.

At any rate, I'm pretty damn psyched about getting in, so yay!

rodz91, which country are you from? applied for financial aid?

I'm from El Salvador and I did apply for financial aid. I did also receive a substantial amount of aid, which is a huge relief, seeing as I couldn't otherwise afford to pay for college.

That's an achievement then. Congrats!

Thanks. :)

I must ask, is it harder or easier for intl. students to get into univs. ?

I got in...

rodz-- much harder.

Really? So happy to hear about this~

waitlisted as intn'l

Admitted as International with financial aid here.

Admitted as an International student! Didn't apply for financial aid.

admitted as international student..didn't apply for financial aid.
I'm from Taiwan!!anyone too???

From Malaysia, so far at least 2 people got in.
