I read on the school website but still cant figure out what life at the dorms will be like. if u have been to the sschool or is studying at it, could u pls advice me. Thanks in advance. <p>I know a couple people who went there. But this is the college life section, Berkshire is a prep school. If you go down the list of sections of this forum, you’ll find a section called ‘Prep School Admissions.’ You’ll get a lot more responses there.</p>

<p>Daughter will be in her third year at Berkshire in the fall. She loves dorm life, and she’s lucky to have a great roommate. The dorms are not separated by class, which she likes, and which leads to better school harmony. I have been unfailingly impressed by the involvement and concern shown by the dorm parents (and the entire staff for that matter).</p>
<p>Each dorm seems to have a different vibe – some more studious, some a little more raucous. They compete against each other a couple of times a year in events ranging from tug of war to trivia.</p>

<p>A fair number of Eaglebrook* Alumni go there, as second-round applications. Very respected as a second tier prep school. It is supportive and nurturing, but not insanely competitive like DA, exeter, or Andover. Students are not abandoned to sink or swim. It is a much better fit for lots of folks.</p>
