The financial aid and fee waiver processes have hardly been explained around here and are often buried in the deep depths of most college websites. It is not from lack of trying to find the info that I am asking you now.

I have been looking at many different college sites concerning Fee Waivers. About half say:
Letter/Request signed by Counselor

And the other half say:
Fee Waiver form signed by Counselor. (But there are no "fee waiver forms" in sight.)

However, there is a huge amount that just say "a fee waiver" is required.

I applied EASC to Harvard, and my counselor sent a letter requesting a fee waiver, and as far as I can tell they accepted it (I got my confirmation and was never called about it). All their site said, if I recall correctly, was "a fee waiver" as being required.

Does anyone know where to get a fee waiver form? Do these exist?
Are forms on their sites that I am not seeing?
Should I just send letters to all of them?
Or is there really a 4 college limit?

Does anyone know where to get a fee waiver form? Your counselor should have them. You get four college application fee waivers from collegeboard if you took the SAT with their exam fee waiver, likewise forACT.

Do these exist? yes they exist

Are forms on their sites that I am not seeing? no they are not online, you have to get them from your counselor

Should I just send letters to all of them? you could, but your counselor should have fee waiver forms

Or is there really a 4 college limit? if you qualify, you get total 8 fee waivers: 4 from collegeboard, and 4 from ACT testing

If you hunt around the college board site...type in fee waiver, it might be in the guidance counselor section, you will find a fee waiver form. We just downloaded it and brought it to S's Guidance Counselor.

Your GC might have her own guidelines, but S's GC just signed all of them.

I don't think there is a limit. dd didn't apply for SAT fee waiver unfortunately, but was able to get fee waivers for 3 UC's (you input your income) which we did ourselves, and for 5 other private colleges, all throught the school college guidance officer.
