I know its not a top notch program but it is in the top 50 according to US news and report. Being in the middle of downtown Atlanta I would suspect the graduates have good job opportunites. Can anybody tell me first hand about the quality of the business program there?

I am a student in Georgia State, not in business school though. From what I saw and what I heard, Robinson School Business is the best college within Georgia State. It has a good reputation in the state of Georgia (I think it's only next to the business school of Emory), as well as good connections with a few Wall Street firms. However, the most famous program here is the executive MBA program, the undergrad program may not be as good. Also be aware the acceptance rate to Georgia State is above 50%, so the quality of students really vary a lot. but as long as you work hard, you will certainly get a decent education here.

Thanks for the reply. Since there is not a Georgia State forum can you tell me about the school in general. How do you like it and everything. I am probably going to attend in the fall.

bumpety bump bump

so you are living in Atlanta area? well this school is not that competitive in general. There are many students here, most of whom work part-time. therefore you need to be more active to make friends, seek help, etc. Joining a Freshmen Learning Community is also a good way to meet more ppl. Anyway, the workload here isn't very heavy so you should be able to enjoy your college life here. There are a lot hot chicks on campus too ;)

Yes I live in the Atlanta area. I figured the school wasnt that competitive but the fact that it is a good business school and I really need to stay in state has me interested. Good to know there are a lot of hot girls too.
