Does anyone know how final gpas are calculated?

<p>There is something strange with my final gpa.
Among the 11 courses I've taken last year, there is one B and one C, and the rest are As.
However, my final gpa has turned out to be 3.389. Again, this is my FINAL gpa, not my cumulative gpa.</p>

<p>I've just moved to America after spending my whole life in a different country, that I am not used to the gpa system here. Please help!</p>

<p>That makes no sense to me; it’s different for every school, so talk to your guidance counselor in September.</p>

<p>In all honesty, I’ve never seen two schools that do it the same. Definitely go to your counselor and just ask him or her, they would be more than glad to explain that to you I assume.</p>
