Does anyone know how to calculate GPAs (for colleges)?

I currently have a 3.56 unweighted 4.04 weighted GPA.....does anyone know how many As I'd need to take to raise my GPA up to minimum 3.75 unweighted 4.2 weighted GPA?

Please help! I'm currently a junior in high school. So I have 7 classes now (6 5.0 classes - I'll probably get 3Bs and 3As and I have one 4.5 class this year that I'll probably make an A in). Next year I'll be taking all 5.0 classes. I also want to dual enroll/take online classes (I need to figure out how many classes I need to take in order to do raise the GPA).

I've taken 22.5 classes right now:
7.5 credits of 4.0 - A (regular)
6 credits of 4.5 - A (honors)
2 credit of 3.5 - B (honors)
1 credit of 2.5 - C (honors)
5 credit of 4.0 - B (in IB/AP classes)
1 credit of 3.0 - C (in IB class)

In my school they calculate the GPA by using 2 semester grades, rather than a final grade for all four quarters. I know that GPA isn't the only main factor - but it'll be a little more satisfying to see a bit higher GPA. Please help me anyone!!

Wouldn’t you just have to average it?

Isn’t it different for college?

It depends where you are planning to apply. California UC’s and Cal States have a specific way to calculate their GPA’s and capping Honors/AP classes at 8 semesters. Most schools will look at your Unweighted GPA for 9-11th grades since so many schools do their weighted GPA differently.
