Does anyone know how to figure GPA

Not that it really matters or anything. But my school doesn't give GPA for quarter grades. So, I was wondering if any of you knew how to calculate GPA.

My Grades
1. A (95)
2. A (93)
3. B (87.1)
4. B (82.9)
5. A- (90.6)
6. REDUCED SCHEDULE

Take the average of your numerical grades.

(95+93+87.1+82.9+90.6)/5.

So I would say your GPA would be 89.72 which is approximately 3.47. I have one question though. Why does your school give out grades to the tenth digit?

Oh, it doesn't list the number grade on my report card. In all of my classes there are grade print outs in the front so you can make sure you're not missing anything and so you can check on your grade. On the last day of the quarter they always post your final quarter print out and the grade's listed in a percent.

It's different everywhere. For instance, my high school has a system where anything greater than or equal to a 94/100 is considered a 4.0/4.0. I have taken college classes where a 90/100 or even an 86/100 is a 4.0, but have also had the experience of earning a 96/100 just to have it converted to a 3.7/4.0. I don't think every school uses a general formula. I have just used the Princeton Review calculator (you can find a list of equivalences on their website) in the past.

82.9 = B. Thats an easy grading system. That would be a C+ at my school.

It's actually a B- but my AP Bio teacher rounded up because she likes me :)
