Hi all - I am aware that I have been very, very stupid in the following situation:
I’m applying for the early action deadline (Nov 1), but I haven’t sent my SAT scores in yet (I didn’t know how the score send system works until a few hours ago because of. I’ve submitted my common application + the writing supplement already, though.
They state this on their website, "You must submit a complete application for admission (including official transcript and test scores, and IU-specific essay) by November 1 to be considered for the early action (non-binding) deadline. " In theory, I should be able to send my SAT scores in time with rush reporting - however, I’ve heard that many universities don’t accept this. So, back to my initial question: does anyone know if IU accepts rush reporting for SAT scores?
I have not heard of a school not accepting an SAT send via the rush shipping option…I am not even sure they can tell how it was sent…the test results are just in their digital CollegeBoard inbox. Did you already request and pay for the rush send?
Paid for it already. I emailed the admissions office too and just got a reply saying that rush reporting is fine. Thanks for the input anyways!
Along these same lines, I’m wondering if they will accept the November test date score if it’s turned in asap. Some schools will reassess if subsequent tests are taken. Does anyone know if IU will?
IU has a Nov 1 hard cutoff for EA app materials…so, if you want to improve test scores you will have to apply RD. If an app is in by Nov 1, IU will consider new test scores for scholarship purposes (SSA Dec 1, IU academic scholarships Jan 15). https://scholarships.indiana.edu/scholarships-101/dates-to-know.html
Received SAT scores Oct 18, sent via Rush reporting the same day. submitted application on Oct 25. Portal updated that all application materials were received by Oct 26.
