I’ve always wondered as to who qualifies for the retroactive pass/fail or retroactive withdrawal petitions. Has anyone been in that situation or know of someone who has?
I believe you’re referring to the “late pass/fail petition.” They have what it’s called a “retroactive pass/fail” for students to elect the P/F option for courses taken in the past. I’ve done it before. I qualified to elect the retroactive P/F option for a course I’d taken a year before my graduation. However, I’m not sure if this is something that former students can do after earning their degrees.
I heard back from the Academic Standards team, and they informed me that once a degree is conferred, it is impossible for anyone but admission officers to have access to your transcript.
Hi, may I ask some specific questions on how you qualified for the retroactive p/f? I am in a similar situation and need some help. Much appreciated!
Are you currently enrolled in a degree program? Also, What NYU school are you in?
