Does anyone know the acceptance rate for out of state engineers into University of Michigan?

I was wondering if there is a place where these statistics will or have been posted for the Fall 2015 application pool? If not, what would a rough estimation be?

There are no official figures, but I would estimate under 15%.

Yeah. There is no separated data for CoE, but my guess would also be in the low teens. The CoE would attract an even higher ratio of OOS applicants than UMich overall. The OOS admission rate for UMich overall is 20% this year. Although the enrolled OOS students ratio in CoE is slightly higher than UMich overall, the yield rate is also likely higher. As the total CoE admission rate is several percent lower than UMich overall admission rate, the OOS CoE admission rate should be at least several percent lower than the overall UMich OOS admission rate.

Is the admission rate different between men and women? If so, what kind of boost do women get?

It has been higher in the past.

Again, there is no separated stat for male/female students, but there is definitely some gender bias. From those I know, the admission score of girl may be just slughtly lower. Nevertheless, there are sufficient highly qualified female applicants to have a higher admission rate without lowering the requirement.
