<p>7738 fall cutoff. 7702 winter cutoff. 16000 accepted fall, 700 winter, 46000 total applicants. Admit Rate fall 2009 34.7%.</p>

<p>does anyone know if they do the point system for transfer students as well? I've seen the point system thing people send for people to calculate how many points they have. However, transfer students of course are different, and that one doesn't pertain to transfers.</p>

<p>Rider's prediction was correct. He said the cut off would be somewhere around 7700. That's a big jump from last year, isn't it? =]</p>

<p>I got a letter of congratulations from the chair of the math department and it included the number of students admitted</p>
<p>Doubt check cuz that was last year's number of admits. Even UC davis has 1900 admits from 42000 applicants (45%) down from 52% last year. Actually just go call UCSD again, i dont want to call them to comfirm again lol.</p>

<p>yeah, you are probably right, I think the year on my letter might be a typo. I just took the number for correct considering the math department should be good with numbers lol</p>
<p>Yeah, on my congratulations page because I was a winter admit. It gave the number 18,880 were admitted for Fall 2009 and 670 for Winter 2010. So that's a little more precise than Lebron's</p>
<p>LebronAnthony, what number did you call? I called one that gave me a message and the other was for housing because I'm a winter admit and I was worried about that. What number do I call to get ahold of the Admissions Office to determine if I'm eligible for an appeal?</p>

<p>Same thing as on there website. That housing wasn't guaranteed and the wait list starts on June 1st to get into housing</p>
<p>Wow, last year the admit rate was 40%. Now it's 34%.. no wonder a lot of people I know got rejected.</p>
