does anyone know the maximum units

transfer students coming from a ccc (community college) is allowed to have? (for the UCs at least)

im not going to answer because i am jealous you get to go to UCLA this fall and i have to wait till fall08 and i'm still not guranteed

um, im thinking of not going and staying at my community college; thats why im asking!

i think it is around ~100 units but not totally sure

86 semester units (129 quarter units) is the exact number... why exactly do you want to stay another year? You got into UCLA, you did a great job. Why risk it another year?? I think you will be very happy at UCLA.

its not that! its just that my major sucks!!

where did u get that info?

you can change majors when you get in there. Don't worry about that. What are you thinking about changing it to?

last time I spoke to the dean of under grad admissions at cal said not to exceed 80 UC credits.. but take as many cc classes as you like. Not quite sure what that means......

i cant change it to business! and right now, i have 61, so um... will i have to only take like 1 class for my final semester? would that look bad?

Q: What is the highest (or lowest) number of units I can transfer to UCLA?

A: When students transfer to UCLA, they must be at junior level. That means a student must have at least 90 quarter (60 semester) and no more than 129 quarter (86 semester)* units.

*Students transferring to UCLA from 2-year colleges get a maximum of 105 quarter units applied to their degrees. Therefore, a 2-year college transfer with more than 129/86 units will still be considered a junior.

there is a cap ROGUE

what is your major mojo?

She clearly said "infinite", RLY.

Like i said, I dont know what in the world she was referring to.

i think i wanna switch it to business... right now im a sociology major. That major wont get me anywhere!!!

i suppose there is always cough marshall cough

You can get into med school with a soc. major ;)

but i would still need to take all the prepatory classes for that major :-</p>

if you switch major right now you will have to take calc1,2 accounting, econ......

do you want to take that much time to leave CC?

if that makes me earn 60 k when i get out of college, yes!!

yea i guess, have you taken calc1,2 accounting (not the easiest classes)

um, well, may be not business, maybe econ will do good since i wont have to take accounting, but i will still need the cal sequence, which i think i can manage since i took an algebraic calculus already.

sounds good but being at CC is not fun (i see idiots that i went to HS with and others) mainly the motivation to move alone and make more money :)
