I am just curious, have the number of TX A&M students enrolled for Fall 2017, including the info on the Freshman Class (Graduating in 2021) been released yet?
During the application process, I heard that there were approximately 47,000 applications for the 2017 Freshman class at TX A&M, and about 27,000 of those applications went under review as those students were neither top 10% or top 25% with the required SAT/ACT scores.
During my D’s NSC we heard that the number of Freshman enrolled for Fall 2017 would be around 11,000. There were 2,400 students offered Blinn-TEAM and 1,046 students accepted that offer, but I don’t know the breakdown for Blinn-Engineering, etc.
I would love to see the breakdown for all categories such as Top 10%, Top 25%, 50% and below 50% HS rank for applied vs enrolled students. Also interested in how many students offered: Blinn-Engineering, Galveston Engineering, PSA, how many accepted those offers and how many applicants were denied admissions.
I have tried to find this info on the TAMU website but can’t find it. Perhaps it is too early or I am just looking in the wrong places.
It is astonishing that there are were 47,000 Freshman 2017 applications! Is this Freshman 2017 class at ~11,000 students the largest TX A&M Freshman class so far?
The info is rarely on tamu site - actually listed only once that I can recall. Here’s some info about that class - you have to piece it all together : https://compute.info/twitter/s/913554132274958336 check some other sources to include: the battalion (newspaper), DARS ( the data source at TAMU), ^ is from aggiebound twitter account, info given at NSC etc. It is a ton of search & paste, many of the items are not actually revealed every year. I’ve done it before - here’s a previous link to some of the info ( I do the number crunching myself) http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/texas-m-university/1974794-tamu-class-of-2018-vs-class-of-2021.html#latest
@AggieMomAgain You can find that info here http://dars.tamu.edu/Data-and-Reports/Student#applied if you scroll to the bottom and select the report under admission summaries. Currently the most recent report is 2016 and it looks like that was posted in December of 2016 so we may have a few months before they publish the 2017 statistics specifically for admission. You can get a lot of the information from the 2017 fingertip facts but that does not list the amount of admissions just who is currently enrolled as of fall 2017, http://dars.tamu.edu/Student/Preliminary-Enrollment-(1)
The -(1) is part of the actual address but isn’t highlighting as part of the direct link so you will have to copy paste it or go to the first link and click on the document directly under the fingertip facts
