Does anyone know when decisions are coming out?

I just got accepted to Storrs today! Application was finished 11/7. Before that it said my SAT & transcript were received but had that box underneath it too (where it says send all supporting documents to so and so).

Just sent them an email. Let’s see how it goes.

Madteacups, which school did you apply to? My app was complete on nov. 2nd and I still have not received a decision. I was told they do review them on a rolling basis

@applefan9: Liberal Arts & Sciences! Are you in state or OOS? Not sure if that makes a difference…

When I called, they said they do it on a Random, not rolling, basis. I am in-state and my application was complete on October 17.

My application was complete on 11/3. I applied to engineering from out of state and still haven’t received a decision.

Application complete October 28, received decision on nov 26
Out of state accepted for chemistry!

are you guys looking on line, or getting regular mail decisions?

Congrats, kleibo. And congrats to others receiving good news.

Kleibo, did you get the acceptance thru portal or thru mail?

Elkyes, My son saw it on the portal. He also recieved an email the next day telling him that his application status had changed. The hardcopy packet came via mail a few days later.

Thanks, still waiting…

It was thru the portal.

Do they only award merit aid to those in the honors program?

Sandromo-No, they don’t only offer merit aid to the one’s who were offered admittance to honors program. My son rec’d 1/2 tuition and just missed 1400 SAT requirement. His stats are up there with great ec’s.

S admitted today

Fall 2012
Undergraduate
Freshman
Liberal Arts & Sciences
Pre-Journalism
Storrs

Nothing mentioned on portal regarding honors or money, so looks like EA regular OOS admission. This is first notice for a college, so very welcome and we are excited!!

We actually rec’d their package in the mail. My son did not see it online, so something still might be coming for you.

My son received his acceptance online on 11/10/11 and the official letter in the mail on 11/15/11. Inside his acceptance packet there was no mention of merit money. I thought that was odd since he was accepted into Engineering and the Honors Program with a 1460 SAT and a 35 ACT. When I called the Admissions Office on 11/21/11 they told me the acceptance letter went out before the Merit Money had been decided. We received another letter on 11/30/11 stating he was granted an Academic Excellence Award of 1/2 tuition. So sometimes the 2 letters are not sent at the same time. Glad I made the phone call to admissions.

Thanks guys, we will wait and see. I wouldn’t be surprised if no money coming. His stats are above average, but certainly not stellar. 1970 total SAT’s. 3.68 GPA, great EC’s.
