I believe WPI doesn't have decisions posted online or by email, unless you are an international student, so you will have to wait for snail mail.

i got my letter today
90,000 merit scholarship
22,500 a year

3.7 GPA
1780 SAT
Black female, private school in MD

hopingwaiting: Congrats. Does that include any need-based aid? Have you filed FAFSA? Maybe they will offer you more? (That's a pretty good merit offer for WPI.)

Ooh Mathson got home and he got a Presidential Scholarship too. $15,000/year compared to $10,000 at RPI.

D got her acceptance letter today - no scholarship, though, which means she probably won't be attending, unless they offer a huge amount of need-based.

WashDadJr was accepted today. No merit aid, though, so probably can't afford it. Too bad, this was probably his first choice otherwise. It's hard to justify the money with other legitimate acceptances in hand that cost a LOT less.

Congratulations WashDad. I've long been impressed with WPI.

WashDad, did you get a financial aid package, or did you just not get a letter telling you of your amount of merit your son received? For some people, the merit award paper doesn't come at the same time as your acceptance, and if that's the case, then there's still hope. WPI seems very generous with merit aid, everyone I know got at least SOME merit, even if it is a small sum. Even I got an award of $7000 a year, so I'm sure your son can get something.

Thanks, Huanlai. I thought that WPI was a school that always put merit offers in their offer letter. And thanks for the congratulations, too, LW.
