AU admissions has explicitly stated they sent everything out at once this year. It seems a lot of kids who are getting accepted without an email are getting accepted for WMP/Spring 2013…

I haven’t gotten anything yet from NJ

Just got off the phone with admissions. They sent out the letters this Tuesday and Wednesday. Everyone will have their decisions by mail by the end of next week

I still haven’t gotten anything… Im from New Mexico and my friend got in who lives practically right next door. So confused…

any here from Ohio hear/get anything?

Congrats to all who have been admitted, and hang in there if you haven’t heard yet. As other have pointed out, there was an unclear process in years past as well.

We are in AK and have not yet received an envelope, but know our FA status, which was as major a factor as the admission itself…

For those who have received an email w/ your AU ID, you can probably do what my son did, log in to AU’s Web Portal (sorry I don’t remember exactly how we did it, we muddled through the site to find it). Once you enroll, you can look at FA, go to “accept FA”, click on year, & view (hopefully) what will be on the hard copy FA award to include grants/loans, etc.

Sorry for bad instructions, but wanted to share that the info IS there if you have your ID.

Best wishes to all.

Sheltie,
Thank you so much for this info on finding the FA. We found it as you said on the regular portal. Try the Financial aid tab at the top of the page to locate the accept FA tab below. Looks like it might work for us so we may be visiting. Still no envelope in PA so it really helped to access this info online.

My son just got a packet in the mail from AU Office of Enrollment but he’s not home so I can’t open it. Can anyone tell me if it is likely a YES or NO? It’s in a white manila envelope and I can see through the front really big letters with AU set vertically. It’s kind of thick.

Bubmom, did you guys get an acceptance e-mail, and can access FA info, or is that without an acceptance in hand?

We did get the email and it included an identification number. Sorry for those who have no info at all yet. Just makes it harder.

Thanks for the quick reply. Congrats on Au admit!

I did not receive an email. Today I got my rejection letter in the mail I live in Northern California.

Bummer Coldharbour. Thanks for posting.

^^I’m sorry to hear, cold. I think you’ve been accepted to great schools though, so best of luck on YOUR decision (yours’ and not the school’s for once).

My girl got an email acceptance and the package arrived the next day (Thursday) in an envelope with a congratulations message on the outside. Congrats to those accepted. I have to say we are disappointed in the merit award–the least of any schools so far. Highly doubtful she’ll attend.

Thanks everyone, Good luck to everyone who has been accepted, and to those still waiting. Factors that contributed possibly to why I was rejected- I didn’t really have very much contact at all with the admissions office. I also applied as an IR/PS major which I would imagine is impacted, or competitive :D.

NOTE: I think out of all the 10 schools which I applied to AU had the least responsive admissions office. I got my first verification of them receiving my application months after I submitted it. In addition I never received a portal log in email from them.

I agree about the least responsive admissions staff.

Ok so I didn’t get the email and i just got a letter in the mail today saying that I was put on the wait list.
