Does anyone know when the RD decisions are released?

<p>Congratulations! That’s fabulous:) My D is a junior in hs and we visited AU over President’s
weekend and she loved it. Can you share your stats so we know what to shoot for to get
merit aid. Help appreciated</p>

<p>Congrats to all who got in. LR4150 and Saman42 - can you tell us where you live? No envelopes, fat or otherwise, here in N. NJ . Still waiting :(</p>

<p>I live in the DC metro area so i received my letter today
it was a HUGE envelope, so naturally i thought i was accepted
but no, i was accepted into spring semester and the Washington mentorship program
I did not receive any merit based aid and just got a need based grant and some loans
Additionally, this mentorship program would seem fun, but the total cost is around $25K and NO financial aid is available for this program…who has that money laying around?! I would love to go here, even if I got spring semester because I truly love the school, but it’s becoming really difficult to afford it. I have a ton of APs and already satisfy nearly all of the general education requirements, so it would not kill me if i did not attend this program, which is not mandatory, but it would have been nice to meet people
stats:
I applied for SIS
4.3 weighted GPA
30 ACT
had a fair amount of ECs including leadership positions in orchestra and GSA
visited the campus multiple times and had an interview on campus
my essays and teacher recs were really strong
Just pretty dissapointed with this</p>

<p>Theatermom: the envelope was postmarked March 20th so it should get to Northern New Jersey tomorrow (Thursday).</p>

<p>Thanks LR4150 for the info.
kawaiiamber - so surprising - your stats are great - way above the AU average I think. You’re making me nervous. Hopefully LR4150 is right and the wait will be over tomorrow for my D. . .</p>

<p>Nothing here yet in NY suburbs!</p>

<p>I live in the DC metro area as well, so I got mine today (sent out yesterday) and I was accepted with $10k Dean’s scholarship+$20k AU Grant
The letter was personally written, and not generic, which I thought was cool.
I applied for SIS w/International Studies major.</p>

<p>Oy! I’m getting nervous… I live in the suburbs of Chicago, so waiting for my acceptance (or denial) is going to be tough…! </p>

<p>kawaiiamber- I am now thoroughly afraid! your stats are great! Eek!</p>

<p>courtlee- stats? please share!</p>

<p>weighted gpa-4.23
unweighted-3.86
(both are not including my first semester senior year grades)
ranked 39/459
SAT (superscore) 1960, SAT math II 690, SAT US history 720
my EC’s weren’t very strong (varsity swimming, orchestra, a few clubs, no real leadership positions, no long-term job), but I really think it was my essay that secured my admission (which they referred back to in my acceptance letter). I also have visited AU twice.
as of the end of my junior year, I had gotten 4’s and 5’s on 5 AP tests and enrolled in 3 AP weighted classes senior year.</p>

<p>I’m in!! I live in Northern Virginia. I am so excited!!!</p>

<p>Still nothing in the Philly suburbs…</p>

<p>just got an email today from a rep saying that i was accepted! im from philly so i’ll probably get the letter tomorrow.</p>

<p>Just got my phone call! I think it’s probably for people receiving the Dean’s scholarship.</p>

<p>Not surprisingly, nothing yet here in the L.A. suburbs. I’m thinking Friday or Saturday at the earliest.</p>

<p>Congratulations to all those accepted. My daughter loves AU and if you decide to attend I think you will have a great experience as well. </p>

<p>Kawaiiamber - I am really surprised that you were not accepted for the fall semester. Did you visit the school and show other signs of interest? Hope that you get good news from your other schools.</p>

<p>Nothing yet: From Nor Cal</p>

<p>Nothing yet from Southern Oregon. I hope it comes on Friday, or I’ll spend spring break in the dark!</p>

<p>kawaiiamber,
I don’t know if this will help much, but AU is pretty generous with AP credits. D didn’t even have that many AP’s, and will be able to graduate a semester early, and actually could have graduated a year early if not for having to satisfy the requirements of a minor that she chose late. So the cost of the Washington mentorship program–which seems to be great, btw–may be offset on the back end if you can graduate early.</p>

<p>Are you getting called on a home or cell number?</p>
