Does anyone know?

I'm a current UCSD student and I started with as a transfer (108 quarter units/ 72 semester units) and I was wondering is it possible to take classes at the community college (to save money) this summer and add units to my transcript if i already transferred?

I'm going to be short about 12 quarter units after I'm done with 60 Upper Divisions and done with my major requirements.

Plus, if you have any questions bout the experience I'm having I'll fill you in on that too.

Hey Joey, yes I know it is deffinitely possible. I have taken a few classes with people who were currently attending UCLA at my CCC. However, I am not too sure on how you would go about doing it. You should definitely contact your school to ask if you need to petition or if any paperwork has to be filled out before enrolling at the CC.

What is your major at UCSD?

I started out as political science but it was to damn boring but I took a history class of Race, Riots and Violence in the US and I loved it so I transferred my major.

Call me crazy but I don’t want to be bored this summer so I’m thinking about taking 3 courses at UCSD this summer and then 3 courses (taken online) that could transfer from community college. Am I shooting for the stars here?

You will not get any UNITS for the classes that you take because you transferred the maximum amount of units already (105 is max). You can get the class cleared though but for no units that count towards graduation (180 needed).

I think you need to take upper division courses. Try SDSU, UC extension, or something else. Consult your counselor.

@itransfer

Here’s the thing though, it says for community colleges and I use to go to a CSU and I went to a CC and together it was 72? But you may be right. ■■■
