Does anyone know...?

Does anyone know if a lot of African Americans apply to Harvard EA and if a lot actually get in by applying EA?

I'm a junior and I'm curious as to whether I should apply EA or put myself in a larger applicant pool of RD.

ALSO. I was not very involved in community service and things of that nature until this school year. In my 1st two years I ran track, tutored, student government and NHS. Do any of you know if that will that look bad?

I am African-American and I got in EA. The article I attached has some info about the demographics about this year’s group of admitted students. You can also contact the URM office for more information. I would get more involved in community service because you WANT TO, not because it would look good on an application.

Quillabee93, I didn’t mean that I want to do community service because it looks good. I just never knew about some of the amazing stuff some organizations do until very recently. I just was curious if that would be a disadvantage, that I was not involved earlier.
Also, thank you for the article.

I don’t think it would be a disadvantage, especially if you could work that into your essay about how you wanted to be more involved and did research to find more opportunities. Good luck!
