How many applicants are waitlisted at Columbia...?
How many applicants are accepted off the waitlist at Columbia...?
Thanks for any information on this (it's not easy to find...)

Here you go:

[Columbia Admission Statistics](http://lmgtfy.com/?q=columbia+admission+statistics)

To answer the question: Columbia has not released the number of folks placed on the waitlist, nor the number of waitlistees who accepted a spot on the waitlist. The number of waitlistees actually accepted will depend on the yield, i.e., the number of accepted students who elect to enroll at Columbia.

Aha whoops, sorry! Should have read the post more carefully and not be a snob =P

I’ve heard from a source (reliable or unreliable, who knows) that they generally let in about 50 students off the waitlist.

I heard the number was historically higher, but I’m not sure anyone knows. Columbia accepted approximately 200 applicants more this year than last, and the college is expanding by 50 (planned) students. This could mean fewer planned students off the waitlist, but who really knows?
