does anyone know

..why berkeley wants our high school transcripts? none of the other UCs ask for it. I don't want them to see my crappy high school record... it won't count against me, right?
i just don't understand why they want it while all of the others don't...??

All other U.C’s require a high school transcript as well. They do it mainly to see a date of graduation and if you fulfilled your 2 years of F.L with high schools classes i’m sure they check for those also

from admissions.ucsb.edu

“UCSB does not require High School transcripts from transfer students who have sent an official IGETC certification to UCSB. UCSB will continue to request your HS transcript until an official IGETC certification has been received by the Office of Admissions. Transcripts and IGETC certifications are considered official when they arrive in a sealed envelope and are sent directly from the school.”

so no, not all the other UC’s require HS transcripts…

UCLA doesn’t want mine! Victory!

haha, yeah,
i checked the other colleges (that i got in to–UCLA, ucsd, ucdavis, ucsb) and they don’t care about it…
berkeley is the only one that wants it. (as shown on the “conditions” page)… hmm…

UCSD wants high school transcripts… I just called and asked them. I am a transfer

hmm… they don’t request it in my conditions. anyway, do you know why they would want it and others wouldn’t?

I don’t know why they want that OR AP scores! (since aren’t ap tests to get out of general ed classes and, well, we hopefully will have completed all of them!?) lol

well they can’t give you credit for ap tests if you don’t show them your scores…

What if they’re not good enough for credit? hahaha
