@CSIHSIS That’s not the way to go about it. You don’t just take stuff up to the supreme court. First, he should break the rule and try to get suspended and eventually expelled. Then he should appeal to the school district and then to appeals court, and then to a higher appeals court, and then to the supreme court, which would not even consider looking at this case.

I don’t have a facebook. I may get one though once I graduate from high school in order to keep in touch with the high school friends that actually mattered to me.

I have Facebook, and I utilize it to the max. I love stalking people on FB.

Some of my teachers have facebooks. I’m not friends with them but my friends and I have looked at them and they’re hilarious. SHOCKING things we found on my spanish teachers facebook. We gave her hell about it the next day and she was so embarrassed she made her facebook account completely private the next day.

I do not have a facebook. I deleted it in early October. :)

I hate Facebook. But I can’t live without it anymore.

It’s not that hard to balance work with something like Facebook. Not having one merely tells me one of several things:

1) You just don’t want one (ergo, no need to justify your non-use) (i.e. someone like me)

2) You don’t like to try new things

3) You have underlying addiction/self-control issues that should probably be addressed

Who wants to take bets that those vehemently defending their non-use have issues with either 2 or 3?

I’ve had one since sixth grade… Honestly, it makes communication so much easier for when you’re not face to face with the person you want to talk to.

Nope, but I have a skype.

I don’t have a Facebook, I mean, I’m not speaking on behalf of the millions of Facebook users, but I found it very distracting and rather addicting. I talk to my closest friends on Email.

Is that vintage?
Or lame?

Lacking a facebook is actually a HUGE disadvantage at my school, because about half of the school’s AP classes (so like, 7 so far) have facebook groups. I know two of them are actually run by the teacher, and all are used for remembering assignments, discussions, some for even healthy complaints.
I deactivated my facebook for a week in October, and I was missing out on so many things for school, it was not worth it. I wish it weren’t so necessary.

I don’t have a Facebook! I used to but I gave it up for the rest of 2011 to focus on college applications, scholarships, soccer, work, and my family. Facebook is a great way to connect with people but it’s also a huge distraction. I have to admit though… it’s REALLY hard. I feel so disconnected all the time! I’m always the one who doesnt know about something. Funny enough when friends invite me to parties they have to manually call me… talk about old fashioned ;p

I use FaceBook strictly to acquire test/homework info from friends that I don’t know well and to spy on other possible valedictorians in my school.
