Does anyone prefer their social life in High School over College?

So I have always been "pumping" myself up for college ever since the freshmen year of high school. Towards the beginning of high school I was more of an introvert, just trying to ace every class, and I never made a conscious attempt to make many friends. Now that I'm a senior in high school during senior spring, I find that I am consciously making more of an attempt to make friends and have a better social life than I have ever had. I feel as though I will miss it to a certain degree, and I can't help but be scared that college won't live up to the image that I have always given it since the freshmen year of high school.

My question is if anyone on this board prefers their high school social life over their present ( college) social life?

No 10chara

Compared to my first half of high school it’s about the same. Compared to the second half, I prefer high school.

I was kinda like you, except I didn’t try to work to ace classes with all the free time I had without a social life :stuck_out_tongue: junior and senior year I made some very great friends and had a lot of great times.

Here’s a test:

Do you agree with the following statement?

Axe Body Spray makes me irresistible to women!

If you said yes, you will find more in common with the high school or early college scene.

If you said no, you have made a one giant step to becoming a normal grown up ****ing human being.

College is an adjustment just like HS can be. Senior year of HS was a blast, but I’ve also had some great, great times in college.

Definitely have enjoyed myself a lot over the past 2 years.

I’m not in college yet, but I feel like you’d have to be developmentally stunted to prefer High School over College.

High school you’re forced into a group of people that live close to you. In college you can become friends with whomever you’d like.

I honestly don’t see how HS could be better. You have to live with your parents, you can’t drive for the first half of HS, you have to follow your parents rules since you live at home, and the social scene is so much smaller and homogeneous.

the world is full of people who think they know

I’m definitely going to prefer the college life. Hello NP Btw

call me crazy, but i prefer high school for now. I’m not having fun in college as a sophomore. Then again its community college, its dreadful.

Eh, I do like my college social life better even though I’m having the worse semester academically at the moment.

I actually get to see my college friends at college more than I was able to see my high school friends when I was in HS. I’m more closer to my college friends within the 2 years I’ve been here. And plus I have a greater variety of clubs/activities to get involved in and exposure to different people (in terms of ethnicity** and **personality)

Don’t feel bad if you don’t like your social life in college right away. I had a rough first semester as a freshman. I HATED college. My social life was sitting in my dorm sleeping and doing homework. BIG. MISTAKE. You need to get out there!
