Hi everyone,
I applied regular decision and received my dartmouth portal login information. I have received for quite a long time but on my application status page, there is still a letter saying that they are busy assembling documents and asking me to be patient. Is it normal? I think after this there will be checklist that tells what have been received and what are missing. Has anyone seen the checklist? Or should there be one?
Thanks.

Nope, Dartmouth’s portal never showed me a checklist. It was always a letter, saying whether your application is complete or not.

^does it say it’s complete or incomplete? mine says they don’t know as the assembling process is not done. here is the full letter.

Thank you for your Regular Decision application for admission to Dartmouth.
We are presently processing the materials we have received from you. Given the large volume of application materials that are currently being delivered to our office, we are unable to check on the receipt of individual forms at this time.
As soon as we assemble your materials for evaluation, we will post a status update to this page. If your file is still incomplete in mid-February, we will post a status update on this page to indicate what materials are missing from your file.
We appreciate your interest in Dartmouth and we look forward to reviewing your application.
Sincerely,
The Dartmouth Admissions Staff

does that mean i’d better wait until feb. 15 rather than bother writing emails or calling them?

^ Yeah, wait another week before you write to them/call them!

It should say something like “we’ve assembled all your materials and look forward to evaluating them!!” :)

But D has no checklist! That sucks!! :/

No checklist but my son’s page says:

We have received all materials necessary to begin the review of your Regular Decision application. Should we have any questions or require further materials from you, we will contact you directly via email or telephone. If you have not already done so, please click on the email verification link on the menu page to verify or update your address.

Candidates will be notified of their admissions decisions on or about April 1.

We appreciate your interest in Dartmouth and are pleased to be evaluating your application.

Sincerely,

The Dartmouth Admissions Staff

^ Yeah that’s what mine says too! :)
