So here's the thing. I usually get 750+ on the SAT Math Section, but now when i checked my scores I am having a 680 for Math!!!! I know for sure that I only have 1 question wrong, so there has clearly been a mistake. Also my Writing score went down by 60 points as well. Should I order the Hand Scoring Service, if I do will the College board notify colleges before the colleges make their decision(I am a senior).......... I am so worried................ How????

I think many of us were expecting more favorable results, but the general consensus seems to be that the scale was incredibly unsympathetic for this test. I’m sorry that you were disappointed! Your scores are still very commendable!

The section was easy, but was also simultaneously tricky. ( Most people made stupid mistakes on easy questions including myself lol). The curve was also harsh.

Unfortunately, when you get a 750 on a section and you keep taking it, the odds are you will have a test with lower scores. If you have the cash, pay for the hand scoring. But sometimes it does not pay to take the test repetitively once your scores are that high.

Many people find the ACT to be a more fair reflection of what you know, that the questions are more straightforward and less designed to trick you.

See if the ACT is offered in your area. You can still take it in April.

Keep in mind, you might get the right answer, but bubble in wrong, etc. Math kills people like that on the SATs.
