Hey everyone,

I was just wondering if any of you think I have a shot at transferring colleges. I'm currently a sophomore at UConn and I am looking to transfer to my dream school - Wellesley College. I applied ED to Wellesley in high school, but I was deferred and later denied RD (I blame it on lack of keeping in contact with the school).

So... here's a little bit of information about me:

High School
GPA: 3.95 (unweighted)
Rank: 3/96
SAT/ACT: I'd rather not post, let's just say that they didn't correspond with my grades..
Other: Attended high school on full merit scholarship, proctor (prefect), volleyball, drama club, jazz ensemble, chamber ensemble, NHS (Secretary), National Society of High School Scholars, tour guide, peer tutor

College
GPA: 3.8 (Overall)
Major: Mathematics
Other: math tutor, Golden Key Honor Society

One of my concerns is that while the rest of my grades are A's, I received a B- in one class this past semester. I was coping with the untimely loss of a high school friend which is demonstrated by this decline. This course was not within my major. Does anyone know if this would soften how the college would look at it?

Also, I already had an interview at Wellesley and I think it went really well. I have an alumna who is writing a recommendation for me. My other recommendations are from an english professor and one of my math professors. I got to see the one from my english professor and he did a really great job of stating that my SAT was not an accurate indicator of my abilities.

Thanks for any and all advice! =)
