so what do you guys think? should I be worried?

i dunno dude. it's weird...i think we're all pretty qualified. what do you think? hahaha. not to be cocky or anything.

Hey guys, don't worry.
Two of my friends who know they got in because they talked to the tennis coach who reallyy wants them on the team and they are pretty qualified didn't get their decision online today either.

thanks for the reassurance. did they at least get packets? i think many of us are really worried cuz we have neither so far and so many people on cc have both.

I think a lot of it has to do with passion for the field in the school you're applying to. If you have a lot of EC's and classes relating to the major you applied for, that counts for a lot. I didn't get into my last two choices, SCS and CIT because my resume had absolutely nothing to do with Computer Science, etc. I'm not sure if I was academically qualified to get in or not, but obviously they don't want to accept someone who doesn't have any interest in the field. However, my EC's were relevant to the majors I selected for HSS and Tepper which i got accepted and waitlisted to respectively. If you have demonstrated interest and have around the same stats posted on the CMU website under admission statistics, you should get in.

i'm pretty sure they're still sending out more batches, not time to freak out yet

nope, they didn't get anything. don't worry. I am 1000000% sure they got in, prbly with full-rides.

prolly not full rides...that sounds a little rediculous, you probably shouldn't make statements like that when they havn't even gotten their letters yet

nothing for me as well. i'm getting quite worried.

me neither. I applied for HSS. Probably not getting in anymore! :((

I hear it's completely random. And that's not just because I haven't heard back yet....apparently this happened last year.
Not everyone who gets turned down puts it up on CC.

i am PRAYING that it is random. seuferk, did we apply to all the same colleges???

I havent gotten mine yet, and I applied to Tepper and SCS. Is this the same as you?

I applied to CIT and nothing... not too worried yet. Come next week and still no decision, then I'll be worried.

it seems like they are updating applicaiton statuses everday...it changes at midnight so your decision might be up tonight

I'm not too worried, but then I read all of your posts and I think about all the what-ifs...All of this waiting is killing me.

Applied CFA for Vocal Performance...letter of interest from them last month, but that doesn't guarantee acceptance. STILL NO DECISION :( I live in Saint Paul, Minnesota.

still no decision. but that page to check my application status doesn't even load on my computer. maybe they're updating it? hopefully?

someone link me to the online status login page....favorites got erased and i cant remember it

haha..thanks now all i need is to remember my pw etc
