I’ve heard that Georgetown doesn’t put much weight on EA. Is this true? Would applying early here be a waste of my early decision spot that I could use elsewhere?
You can apply to more than one school EA with a few exceptions. This doesn’t waste your spot. BUT rule of thumb, only apply ED to the school that truly is your number one choice and affordable.
EA rounds are more competitive at Georgetown, so interpret that as you will. However, applying EA does demonstrate that it’s a top choice for you. Also, if you aren’t accepted through EA, you’re automatically deferred to RD, so there’s no risk in applying EA.
