Does applying for summer term instead of fall increase you're admission chances?

I have the same question. I’m planning on transferring to UW(out of state student)

Sometimes yes, sometimes no. It depends on the institution.

It makes more sense to me. Obviously, summer quarter has far fewer applicants than fall. Does anyone know if this is true for university of washington seattle?

Or Emory University, for that matter?

possibly, but not by much. also, for UW, keep in mind that attending summer means you also have to attend fall.

That’s the goal. I’m a freshmen in college, and i want to transfer to my “real” school as soon as possible.

@Emory poster. Applying for summer semester WILL increase your chances of acceptance. Tuition is so high for emory and classes are fairly difficult. People tend not to take summer classes.

Look into oxford emory. It’s another campus of emory that has a guarantee acceptance to the main Atlanta campus. I volunteer at Emory midtown hospital. They really look for “why” you’re going there. If you’re pre-health, volunteer before applying. It’ll help.
