I applied for an engineering internship at Arcelormittal and was wondering if they require you to pass a drug test. Does anyone have any information on if they drug test for interns and when?

Generally speaking, you should always expect to have a drug screen when you are seeking new employment; sometimes companies do screen everyone, sometimes they screen a handful of people, and sometimes they screen no one, but nearly every company has a substance abuse policy with the penalty for violation termination of employment.
