Does athletics boost admission rates for college?

By athletics I mean actively being recruited by a college coach for a sport. My GPA is like 4.0W and 3.92 UW and I have a 30 on the ACT, and I seem to be a bit borderling for the school I want to go to, but I am being recruited by their coach for swimming. Will that help admissions to the school if you are going to be playing for their team?

The coach will look at your grades and tell you if he can get you in.

The short answer is “yes”.

You’ll find a lot of help in CC’s athletic recruiting subforum

Oh, I didn’t even notice that was a section. I’m new and if I need info I’ll post there.
