Hello!
I was just wondering if Barnard wants to see the final IB scores. I submitted both my regular high school grades (separate from IB) and also IB predicted grades to Barnard College during admissions.
I was accepted, but now I am worried that in case I don’t pass the IB, they could revoke my acceptance.
I would really appreciate an answer. Thank you!
In the USA, admissions are done based on GPA/SAT.
IB test scores can be used to get credit/placement for classes.
I would do your best so you can get that credit!
I don’t think so. But if you contact Barnard you will get the answer with 100% certainty. Why stress or guess?
^^
Why ask us when calling the school would get you the correct answer. Ask what the consequences would be if you did not pass, also.
Thank you so much for your replies! I know I should contact them but I am worried that I could annoy them or shine a bad light on myself, I don’t know. But thanks again, I really appreciate it!
@steff2000 did you get an answer? I have the exact same question, and I was hoping to piggy-back on you. lol
@schmocklock haha hey no I didn’t, I am debating whether to write to them or not…
If your transcript grade is not dependent upon your IB scores, you have no problem. If your IB grade=your transcript grade, you probably still won’t have an issue unless you get a 1 or a 2 in one of your subjects.
@skieurope Thank you so much for your answer, haha that’s really reassuring! My transcript did show my predicted grades, but they have nothing to do with my other transcript grades and GPA, so I hope this still applies.
Yup; it still applies.
