So, I applied EA and was deferred. I sent updates to my CV, then went back and read their policy on interviews, since I was never offered one.
It said in big bold letters not to contact them asking for an interview, but I couldn't resist.

I was actually afaid that because I live in Germany and my mail from the states is FREQUENTLY lost or late arriving, that I may have been mailed instructions or something and simply never received it.
The response I received was very nice, saying that they never mail interview info, and although it was late in the game (January), the admissions officer offered to "see what she could do". I sent off a quick thank-you-for-your-time and figured that was the last I'd hear of it.

About a week later I received an email from Germany's Yale interview coordinater, saying that the interviewer in my area was unavailable, but I could go meet a woman about an hour away and interview there.
Of course, I took the oppertunity, and the interview went very well, I'd like to think.

Now, here's the question: anyone have any idea how Yale will see this? Will I be given bonus points for being persistent, or at least noted at "likely to matriculate," or will I get points off for ignoring the big bold print that said not to go and beg them for an interview?

I realize this is probably a stupid post, but March 31 drawing near, details like this are starting to nag at the back of my mind.
"What could I have done better? What did I mess up on?"

Once applications are over, we are all going to need shrinks.
