One of my math profs asked me to be a T.A. for him next year. I would be grading homework and tests, conducting review sessions before the tests, and holding office hours. I'm already working as a math and computer science tutor and will continue to do that while working as a T.A. (I'm anticipating between 26 - 32 hours a week with the two combined). It seems like a good opportunity, especially because I am a community college student and the other T.A. is a senior at the university. I guess the T.A. positions are generally reserved for university students. Does anyone who has worked as a T.A. have any opinions? Do you feel it helped you professionally or as a student?
