<p>That depends on the program…many of UB’s programs have guaranteed entry options for UB students, so those would obviously be a big plus. I would say med school probably does not have a preference. As a pharmacy asst. dean said, there is no stated preference outside of the guaranteed entry but extra attention is almost certainly given to UB students. After all, they KNOW what it takes to get certain grades, are familiar with the various on campus activities, and know the profs who write the recommendations! But that will not turn a non-competitive applicant into an admit!</p>
