I want free Windows 7.

i dunno about that, but you can check out this site: [IEEE - Microsoft Software Offer for IEEE Student members](http://www.ieee.org/web/membership/students/branchresources/microsoftofferstudents.html) … its $30 for students for the year i think, and u get tons of free software in addition to Windows 7, otherwise you can just torrent the leaked RTM version.

I think only EECS students get MSDN Developer Access through College of Engineering.

haha wish l&s had the same perks :)

[San Jose, CA Launch Event | Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 R2 and Exchange Server 2010](<a href=“Grow your audience with Bing Pages”>Grow your audience with Bing Pages)

Eecs kids only! :d

Do CS majors in L&S count?

I think only EECS people get it … at least that’s what my friends said.
Cause on the MSDN store page ([MSDNA for UC Berkeley EECS](http://msdn04.e-academy.com/elms/Storefront/Home.aspx?campus=berkeley-eecs)), it says “for UC Berkeley Dept of EECS” on the top-right corner.

Anyone who is enrolled in a CS class can sign up for MSDNA page access and get the free software. OR, anyone who is in the CS/EECS major. Access only lasts for one semester, and then you have to renew at the start of the next semester.

Very interested in this as well.

[MSDNAA - US Schools](Bing)

Search for Berkeley, CA and you’ll find a list of Berkeley departments. Most of the programs seem mediocre for the regular student though. Other schools seem to have a much better list.

Mechanical engineers also get it.

strong first post to bump ratio
