Does Boston University have a good music program

I'm a senior in high school and have already applied to several schools (Ithaca, SUNY Fredonia, Baldwin Wallace, UMass Amherst). I plan on being a clarinet performance major. I had considered applying to Boston University a while ago, but then I heard a negative review from one person, but I still like the school, so I was wondering if anyone could give me some more info on BU and their music program, especially the clarinet teacher. I heard that their facilities are great and that they've got a really cool study abroad program in London, but I don't know too much about the clarinet teacher. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

We toured the facilities and they are really nice. My son did not like the campus, but some people may like the city atmosphere and others may not. Suggest that you check the music forum for more specific information about the program.

By the way, I lived near Baldwin Wallace many years ago. It’s in a very quaint small town near Cleveland, but is somewhat separate from the rest of the music community in Cleveland. It has a suburban feel.

Post the question in the BU and Music forums - you are more likely to find people there that know. You should never reject a school based on the opinion on one person ;-)
